What is in the zip

It works in Excel 2007 or newer and in Google Sheets, with standard formulas and no macros. No sheet is protected and no cell is locked, so you can change any label.

How the sheet works

1. Type the job, the change and its costs into the pale blue cells on the right.
2. The page on the left fills itself in and adds itself up: materials, labor hours, subs, equipment, permits, overhead on the added hours and your markup.
3. It also works out the new contract amount and the new completion date.
4. Print it on one page. The work does not begin until both of you have signed.

This is the sample on the second tab. A hidden condition turns up under a bathtub. The numbers are invented for the example.
